McDonald's Japan updated their website on the 22nd, making an unusual statement about the sales method of their Happy Meal, which will go on sale from the 23rd.

Regarding McDonald's Japan's Happy Meals, customers flocked to the chain to get the "Minecraft: The Movie" and "Chiikawa" toys, which were on sale for a limited time from the 16th. Therefore, they warned people to limit the number of Happy Meals they could buy and to refrain from purchasing them for resale or other commercial purposes. They also warned people to refrain from contacting stores to check on the number of toys in stock.

I also saw photos on social media of many people buying up and reselling the items. It is unacceptable to buy up these items and resell them at high prices. People who really want them may not be able to buy them, so I would like the shops to consider taking more measures to prevent resale.

  1. It would be shocking if children's enjoyment was lost because of resellers.

  3. Resell is not good for both companies and customer. I think measures are required to anticipate resale.

  4. I wondered what measures would be most effective because even if the store took measures to prevent resale, there would still be people who would resell.
