False images and videos of the main candidates, "deep fakes," have been spreading on the Internet surrounding the South Korean presidential election to be held on June 3. Deepfake is a technology that uses generative artificial intelligence (AI) to process the video and audio of a person to create images that appear as if the person is actually speaking. According to Korean media, videos have been confirmed, including one in which the candidate, former representative Lee Jae-myung, said, "If you oppose me in the National Assembly, I will immediately declare martial law and arrest members of the National Assembly." There was also a video of candidate Lee Jun Suk crying.
The technology of recent generative AI is very advanced. So the perfection of fake images and videos has improved very much. It is difficult to tell if it is real or fake. Therefore, there is a high possibility that candidates will be negatively affected by people believing fake videos. Therefore, it is necessary for us to compare several articles, news, etc. and distinguish whether the video or image is authentic or not.
The development of AI in recent years is tremendous, so we also want to acquire the ability to distinguish.

返信削除I think AI is very useful and smart. But lies are easy to create.
返信削除I found it difficult to determine if the information was correct. I would like to be able to judge by myself to some extent.
