A scientifically unfounded "rumor" that a major disaster will occur in Japan in July of this year has been spreading online. This has led to people in Hong Kong refraining from traveling to Japan in July, forcing airlines to reduce the number of flights. According to Miyagi Prefecture, Hong Kong airline Greater Bay Airlines reduced its Hong Kong-Sendai flights from four round trips a week to two round trips a week between May 9 and July 11. The route only began at the end of last year, but the company cited the economic situation and other factors as well as the influence of rumors spreading in Hong Kong that a major disaster would occur in Japan in July as reasons for the reduction. In addition, flights from Hong Kong to Tokushima and Kansai have also been reduced.
One of the sources of information is "The Future I Saw: Complete Edition" (Asuka Shinsha), published in 2021 by manga artist Ryo Tatsuki. The book is based on the contents of a dream that Tatsuki had, and the cover reads, "The real disaster will come in July 2025." It has sold 1 million copies and is also available in Hong Kong. In the complete version, the dream states that "the ocean floor halfway between Japan and the Philippines erupted (erupted)," and "a huge tsunami surged into countries around the Pacific Ocean." Many online sources link this to the occurrence of a massive earthquake in the Nankai Trough, and many say that it "occurred on July 5th," coinciding with the date Tatsuki had the dream.
I was surprised at how much of an impact the prophecy had, even though there was no proof that it was true. The 7/5 date of the prophecy is coming up soon, so I'll keep an eye on it.

It would be scary if the prophecy really came true. But if it did come true, it would increase the credibility of the prophet.
返信削除I did not want the information yo be unsubstantiated. We also need to be able to judge whether the information is credible or not.
返信削除I thought it was very frightening because if the prophecy alone spread through the internet, etc., it would have that much of an impact.
返信削除I have seex several prophecies in the past. I was amazed that a just rumor can have such an impact.
